Postage of Goods - How long does it take?



Free shipping Australia wide for all orders over $200! 

Roman & French offers free shipping for orders over $200.

For orders less than $200, a flat fee of $15.95 is charged.

From time to time Roman & French will run a 'discount' for a limited period of time. This discount will apply to the product purchased. 

Signature on Delivery

Our preferred carriers, depending on your location within Australia, is either Australia Post, Fastway Couriers, Clipper 'Same Day' Courier or DHL for international.  If you require 'Signature on Delivery' for an Australia Post item you are required to add and pay for this option in your shopping cart. We do recommend 'Signature on Delivery'  if your address is an apartment, concierge managed building, high-rise apartments, factory building, dual occupancy or office complex.

Phone Number

We will indicate your phone number on the parcel so that the carrier has all of the information required to make contact with you. In some instances your email address is required also. By ordering through Roman & French you give permission for these contact details to be passed on to a third party for the purpose of shipping your parcel.

Delivery times - Australia - How long does it take to receive an order?

Orders are processed Monday through to Friday. Orders received over a weekend will be placed into the 'orders to be sent out' by sequence within the following business week, within sequence in the business day period, depending on our volume of orders. The time delay may vary and is dependent on order volume. In most instances all parcels are sent out within 5-10 days, but on some occasions this may alter depending on order volume or if your item is custom made your order will be sent between 4-6 weeks, but you will be notified of the time frame.

Some orders are 'custom made' and do require a longer delivery lead time. This will be noted on your product details information.

Once your parcel has been dispatched, you will receive your 'postage tracking number' by confirmation email.

Roman & French will be responsible for choosing the carrier to ship your products to you. Roman & French will be responsible for payment of the shipping of your package to you in Australia for the purchase only. The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for international orders. 


Tracking Number

When your order is fulfilled and dispatched we will send you a notification. This notification will advise you of the carrier used to send your parcel. It will either be Australia Post or Fastway.

Not home when the delivery is made - Postage or  Courier?

We have requested that all parcels are not left unattended at your  address and we expect the delivery carrier to leave a calling card to advise you that they have attempted to deliver your parcel.  It will be your responsibikity to follow the instructions on the calling card to organise to retrieve your parcel.

Not home when the delivery is made - Australia Post?

If you select the 'signature on delivery' fee on checkout your item will automatically be posted with Australia Post.

From time to time Roman & French use Australia Post to delivery your package to you within Australia.

Each customer parcel will have a tracking number to follow the delivery from sender to receiver.

Effective 1/5/16 Australia Post have now changed the delivery options within Australia and may, at their discretion leave a parcel without actually handing it to someone in your residence.

We believe that your Roman & French parcel needs more care than this. 

We highly recommend that you include and pay for the ‘Signature on Delivery’ to be added for safety and peace of mind - this is $2.95.

This will mean that a signature will be required when the Australia Post employee delivers it to your door. If you are not there, they will take it to your nearest Post Office Collection Point and leave a ‘collection card’ advising you that they have attempted a delivery.

Please be mindful that if your parcel is not collected within one week of receiving the collection card you may be charged a fee to collect your parcel from your local Australia Post office outlet.

This collection fee is not the responsibility of Roman & French and cannot be claimed against Roman & French.

If you do not choose ‘Signature on Delivery’ and the parcel has been signed for upon checking the , it will not be the responsibility of Roman & French to replace the item or track the item with Australia Post.

These are both safe, reliable and trackable services which we have come to rely upon to assist us in the management of parcel delivery worldwide.


International Delivery Time

Australia Post products are used to ship customer packages international.

NZ shipping for registered and trackable postage is delivered between 7-10 days per Australia Post after dispatch from Roman & French. 

NZ shipping for express registered and trackable postage is delivered between 2-4 days per Australia Post after dispatch from Roman & French. This express service is an Australia Post premium service and probably suits the client who has chosen to order something special at the last minute. We will work with you to ensure your much loved items are in the post ASAP!

There are countries in the world which dictate that Customs import duty is payable on all goods imported of items labelled 'clothing' or 'jewellery'. Items will be listed on the customs declaration as either 'bridal jewellery' or 'bridal accessories'. The import duty is a separate payment between the recipient and your local customs authority.
Customs will make contact with you once the package has been received in your country. In the event that the import duties are not paid, the item will remain in Customs and labelled as 'unclaimed cargo'. The package will not be returned to Roman & French and will not be reimbursed to you.
Delivery times - International

Roman & French uses the Australia Post service for all deliveries within Australia and internationally.

Once your package has been dispatched you will be notified immediately together with an estimate on delivery time.

For specific zones, postal service arrives to international countries within 7-10 days.  For other zones customers should allow for up 21 days for delivery international. Roman & French can provide more accurate delivery information prior to your purchase.


Product availability

Occasionally a product may be unavailable. If it is not available, it is probably for a short time frame. We will always communicate with you as soon as we receive your order and get your permission to carry on with the order, if the product is out of stock temporarily.
